Shawn Michelle Gordon, LCSW Clinical Supervisor Employed since 2006

With over 18 years of Behavioral Health experience and a lifetime of volunteering in our community, I have dedicated my career to serving children and families. It has always been a personal mission of mine to offer the highest quality and affordable care to people in need.  As Clinical Director of Trinity Harbor Therapeutic Services,  I enjoy working alongside professionals that also share the same mission of serving clients.  It is an absolute pleasure to work with such accomplished administrative and clinical staff.  Immediately clients notice our entire staff is proficient in providing each client with the highest quality of affordable care.  Our clients also appreciate the time and attention they receive in our office and from our staff. I am personally, in communication with every new and existing client throughout the duration of their services. I am also available for phone consultations, questions, concerns, or any necessary clinical recommendations. This personal support and care is a unique component found only at Trinity Harbor Therapeutic Services. Our staff and I do not take for granted the great privilege of being a part of so many positive changes in the lives of each client we serve.

For me, practicing therapy is a deeply moving, profound experience that I consider a privilege. Each time a new client, family or couple comes to visit me, I am touched by their courage and determination to change their lives for the better. Each therapeutic experience is very poignant and allows me to learn new things about the human experience and improve myself while helping others at the same time. I am from the Midwest originally and hold a Masters in Clinical Social Work with a minor in Psychology from Cleveland State University. In addition to providing therapy part-time for Trinity Harbor, I am a certified School Social Worker in the state of Florida and currently work full time for Broward County Schools. I’ve had over 5 years of experience providing therapy and clinical consultation to youth, families, couples and individuals. My specialties are in family/couples conflict, parenting, adjustment issues, youth issues, mood disorders and anxiety, depression, emotional management, trauma, grief and loss. I can help you build on your strengths, break down whatever barriers are hindering your success and help you create a roadmap so that you no longer need to feel stuck or hopeless where you are. I offer a holistic, warm and compassionate approach to therapy, mixing various methods and styles to allow my clients to customize their treatment plan and meet their unique, individual needs.
